One workout that I do want to get up on this blog was last Saturday's. It was a bike and transition run, like all Saturdays. Saturdays are usually pretty good for me. Well, this one was no different. I started at North Greenville University and headed up to Saluda, NC. I absolutely LOVE this ride. It's a good bit of climbing so you have to pace yourself. The first time up to Saluda I had 3 of my TNT athletes with me & that def helped. I got to go at a nice, easy pace. When we got to the bottom I made them do Camp Old Indian with me and then I went back up to Saluda for a 2nd time all by myself. I got to push it this time. Put my iPod in and just grunted it out. 66miles later I finally got back to the car and put my running shoes on quickly. Then, 4miles or pavement pounding. Surprisingly my legs felt pretty good. The only bad part was how badly I had to go to the restroom ... & of course Einstein's Bagels had closed!
The only other update is that I did, in fact, get a new job. I am going to be the floor manager at Flat Rock Grille. Have I ever worked in a restaurant, ever been a waitress, ever been a host ... uh, NO! So, to jump right to manager is going to be exciting. Training for that is going pretty well right now, except it's on the DL that I am going to be the manager (so peoples feathers are ruffled prematurely) so that is a little hairy cary.
Oh, and my birthday is tomorrow. Hmmm guess I'm getting older. Hopefully with age comes speed in triathlons!!
