About Me

I am an ICU registered nurse who is passionate about triathlons. In 2008 to 2009 I began training and competitive racing, and progressed from not being able to continuously run a mile to consistently placing in events. By 2010 I was ranked first place in South Carolina for my age group. I am an active member of the Greenville Splash Masters Swimming program, Upstate Tri Club and am regularly involved in numerous SC Upstate fitness venues.

I am a certified triathlon coach through the Dave Scott Coaching Certification program. Dave Scott is a six-time Ironman World Champion and a great inspiration to me. In 2012 I trained, raced and finished my first Ironman competition - Ironman Florida. It was an amazing day and probably one of the best races of my life to that point. Being “in shape” is a great feeling, but what keeps me in the athletic arena is far more than just a zeal for great fitness. I absolutely loves inspiring others and watching them achieve their personal dreams and goals while becoming mentally and physically stronger.

I have been a volunteer mentor & coach with Team in Training (TNT) since 2009.  TNT raises money for cancer patients and their families. By becoming personally involved, people change not only their bodies but also the lives of countless cancer patients and their families.

Pushing oneself to new limits and achieving goals you never thought possible … this is what I’ve done it in my own life & now I thrive on seeing others do the same thing … this is what keeps me motivated and excited about triathlons.
